Material Property Of Alloy 825 (N08825)

Alloy 825 is a titanium-stabilized nickel-iron-chromium alloy containing elements such as nickel, chromium, copper, and molybdenum. It exhibits exceptional resistance to oxidation and corrosion by reducing acids, and performs particularly well in sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, and sulfide-containing environments. Alloy 825 retains its mechanical strength even at temperatures as high as approximately 550°C, making it suitable for high-temperature, high-pressure heat exchange applications and the transport of highly corrosive media.

Automatic Welding (PAW+GTAW)

Automatic welding is the core process in welded tube fabrication. After the steel strip is formed, the tube seam is welded using a dual-shielded welding method—Plasma Arc Welding (PAW) for the root pass and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) for the cover pass—to create a weld with strength equivalent to the base material.

MTSCO’s factories are fully equipped with automated welding systems that monitor welding parameters in real time, effectively reducing defects such as slag inclusion, porosity, and lack of fusion.

Online Eddy Current Testing

Online eddy current testing is a critical inspection step for ensuring the surface and near-surface quality of small-diameter welded pipes. After automatic welding and online annealing, automated eddy current testing equipment performs a 100% full-length scan of the pipe body, enabling real-time detection of defects such as wall thickness anomalies, longitudinal cracks, and pinholes without physical contact with the pipe.

The eddy current testing system features high sensitivity, capable of detecting minute defects. MTSCO’s online ET testing effectively reduces the risk of defective products entering subsequent processing stages, ensuring batch consistency of the final product.

 

Siri Tubing Laboratory

Siri Tubing Laboratory is equipped with professional testing equipment and provides comprehensive laboratory validation support for the production of heat exchanger straight tubes.

Laboratory capabilities include: Radiographic Testing (RT) laboratory, chemical composition analysis laboratory, tensile testing laboratory, hardness testing laboratory, metallographic laboratory, and intergranular corrosion testing laboratory.

The laboratory is equipped with core equipment such as tensile testing machines, impact testing machines, metallographic microscopes, and hardness testers, enabling the execution of various mechanical property tests and non-destructive inspections, including tensile, flanging, flattening, bending, hardness, and radiographic testing. All test reports and specimens are archived and stored in accordance with project requirements to ensure batch traceability and provide customers with reliable quality verification evidence.

A1: Absolutely. We fully support on-site pre-shipment inspections by authoritative third-party organizations such as SGS, TÜV, and BV. Our QC team will actively cooperate to ensure a smooth inspection process, giving you greater peace of mind upon receipt.

Q2: Can you accommodate custom non-standard dimensions or special materials?

A2: Yes. Outer diameter, wall thickness, length, and surface finish can all be customized according to project drawings, and we support special shapes such as U-tubes. MTSCO’s in-house factory can respond quickly to your needs.

Q3: For which operating conditions are nickel alloy heat exchanger tubes suitable?

A3: 316L can meet the requirements of most mildly corrosive media, but high-temperature steam-side or strongly acidic environments typically require nickel alloys such as Alloy 625/825, which offer significantly higher high-temperature strength and corrosion resistance than stainless steel.
