The Siri Laboratory is equipped with tensile testing machines, impact testing machines, metallographic microscopes, hardness testers, and other equipment, enabling mechanical property testing such as tensile, flanging, flattening, bending, and hardness tests. The laboratory also covers RT, chemical composition, intergranular corrosion, tensile, hardness, and metallographic analysis testing. Test reports and samples are archived for record-keeping.

Single Process Introduction—Laser Welding

Laser welding is one of the key processes in 825 heat coil tube production, directly affecting weld quality, dimensional stability, and the results of subsequent processing. It is a welding method that focuses a high-energy laser beam on the metal joint area, causing the material to melt rapidly within a small area and form a weld. Compared to traditional welding, laser welding offers more concentrated heat input and faster welding speeds. MTSCO’s welded coiled tubing production process incorporates 100% laser welding, better meeting requirements for continuous length and consistent quality.

 

Quality Control System

·Secondary Inspection of Raw Materials: Raw materials are sourced from suppliers such as POSCO, JISCO, Outokumpu, and TSINGSHAN. Upon arrival, each batch undergoes PMI and related inspections. MTSCO employs a secondary verification process to minimize the risk of material mix-ups.

·Production Process Traceability: From laser welding, cold drawing, and bright annealing to plastic encapsulation, each process is supervised by the QC team and documented with photographs. MTSCO ensures traceability of manufacturing records through process card management.

·100% Pre-shipment Inspection: Finished products must undergo inspections including appearance, dimensional checks, PMI, ET, and pressure testing. MTSCO also accepts third-party inspections by SGS, TÜV, and BV to facilitate project acceptance.

 

Inspection Methods

The focus of pipeline inspection extends beyond dimensions to include weld integrity, pressure-bearing capacity, and material consistency. Routine inspections cover visual inspection, PMI, dimensional verification, air tightness testing, ET, and hydrostatic testing, with standard pressure at 5,000 PSI and a maximum of 15,000 PSI. MTSCO’s welded coiled tubing undergoes a comprehensive inspection process prior to shipment to ensure product quality before leaving the factory.
