Product Advantages

·Ultra-long continuous production: Control line flatpack can reach a maximum length of 50,000 feet (approximately 15 km) per coil, reducing field splices and improving system reliability.

·High-pressure bearing capacity: Control line flatpack has a standard hydraulic test pressure of 5,000 PSI and can withstand a maximum test pressure of 15,000 PSI, meeting the requirements of the vast majority of high-pressure applications.

·Diversified encapsulation materials: Provides multiple plastic encapsulation options including FEP, PVDF, Rilsan PA 11, and Santoprene TPV, meeting different working condition requirements.

·ISO certification guarantee: Siri Tubing has obtained ISO 9001 quality management system certification, ensuring stable and controllable product quality.

·Fast delivery capability: Regular specifications are kept in stock year-round, enabling rapid response to urgent customer needs and ensuring on-time delivery.

Manufacturing Process Flow

The production of control line flatpack begins with steel strip. First, incoming inspection of the raw steel strip is conducted to confirm the material is correct; then strip butt welding is performed. The welded strip is cleaned first, then formed into a tube shape, and the tube body is formed through laser welding. Next, the product undergoes sizing, cold drawing, and in-line bright annealing processes. The formed welded coiled tubing also requires in-line eddy current testing as well as hydraulic or air tight testing to verify weld integrity and pressure sealing performance. Finally, the product undergoes fine coiling, marking, final inspection, plastic encapsulation, packaging, and warehousing, with shipment arranged according to customer requirements.

Application Areas

MTSCO control line flatpack products are widely used in oil and gas, geothermal, heat exchangers, and shipbuilding industries. In the oil and gas sector, control lines are used for downhole allocation, pressure monitoring, and fluid control; in geothermal power plants, the products' high temperature and corrosion resistance meet the requirements of harsh working conditions; in heat exchanger and shipbuilding manufacturing, precision coiled tubing can be used for medium transmission and instrument connections. Siri Tubing's high-performance control line flatpack has been successfully applied in harsh environments such as deep sea and underground. We support customization according to customer needs, helping clients select the most suitable products.

Santoprene TPV Encapsulation

Santoprene TPV (thermoplastic elastomer) combines the soft feel of rubber with the processability of plastic, offering excellent weather resistance, ozone resistance, and chemical resistance. With outstanding sealing performance and a comfortable tactile feel, it is commonly used in automotive seals, medical devices, and consumer goods. TPV is recyclable, aligning with environmental sustainability trends. MTSCO offers Santoprene TPV encapsulated solutions to meet customerscomprehensive needs for elasticity, durability, and aesthetic appeal.

Alloy 625 (UNS N06625)

Alloy 625 is a nickel alloy. Its primary strengthening elements are molybdenum and niobium. This material possesses exceptional high-temperature strength and oxidation resistance. Alloy 625 also offers excellent corrosion resistance, including resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and seawater corrosion. It is suitable for applications in aircraft engines, gas turbines, rocket engines, offshore platforms, diving equipment, the nuclear industry, chemical reactors, and high-temperature, high-pressure valves.

Hydraulic / Air tight testing

Hydraulic and air tight test are necessary procedures to verify the pressure sealing performance of control line flatpack. MTSCO conducts pressure testing on all welded coiled tubing, with a standard test pressure of 5,000 PSI and a maximum withstand test pressure of 15,000 PSI. Hydraulic test detects deformation and leakage of the tube body and weld seam under high pressure by injecting pressurized water into the tube; air tight test is used for scenarios with higher sealing requirements and can quickly detect micro-leakage. Both testing methods can be flexibly selected according to customer requirements to ensure products meet the pressure requirements of different working conditions. After testing is complete, all data records and samples are retained and archived.

FAQ

Q1: What encapsulation materials are available for encapsulated control lines?

A1: We offer four plastic encapsulation materials: FEP, PVDF, Rilsan PA 11, and Santoprene TPV. FEP and PVDF have excellent chemical corrosion resistance, while Rilsan PA 11 offers good flexibility. You can select the most suitable encapsulation material based on the specific application environment.

Q2: Can non-standard size customization be produced?

A2: Yes. We support customization of outer diameter, wall thickness, length, and encapsulation material according to customer requirements. The outer diameter range covers 3.18 mm to 38.1 mm, with wall thickness from 0.4 mm to 2.54 mm.

Q3: What typical working conditions are the products suitable for?

A3: Control line flatpacks are widely used in oil and gas wellhead control, geothermal power plant heat exchanger systems, ship piping instrument connections, and chemical medium transmission. The products are corrosion-resistant and high-pressure-resistant, particularly suitable for harsh environments such as deep sea and underground.
